YOUR DOG IS NOT STUBBORN – YOU ARE CONFUSING HIM

Let’s be honest.
Not a little honest. Brutally honest.

Your dog is not stubborn.
He is not rude.
He is not “dominant.”

You don’t understand him.

And that’s the problem.

DISOBEDIENCE IS NOT THE PROBLEM. CONFUSION IS.

Your dog does not think like you.
He does not understand your words the way you think he does.
He does not connect things the way you imagine.

He reacts to what YOU show him.

And what are you showing him?

One day one rule applies.
The next day a different one.
The third day… no rules at all.

And then you wonder why he “doesn’t listen.”

YOU SAY “NO,” BUT YOU ACTUALLY MEAN “MAYBE”

Your dog jumps on you.
You say “no”… but then you pet him.

Your dog pulls on the leash.
You let him, because “you’re in a hurry.”

Your dog barks.
You yell. You look at him. You react.

Do you know what you just told him?

“Keep going. This is how you should behave.”

Your dog doesn’t hear your “no.”
He sees your behavior.

YOUR EMOTIONS ARE A STRONGER COMMAND THAN YOUR WORDS

You get irritated.
You raise your voice.
You become tense.

You think you are “putting him in line.”

But in reality?

You are creating chaos.

Your dog does not understand why you suddenly changed.
He does not know what you actually want from him.
He only knows the energy feels off.

And then?

He does what is familiar.
What worked before.

A “STUBBORN DOG” IS USUALLY JUST – A CONFUSED DOG

If your dog follows the “sit” command at home
but ignores you outside…

That is not stubbornness.

That is context.

You did not teach your dog that the rule applies everywhere.
Only in your living room.

And the outside world?

Full of smells.
Sounds.
Distractions.

And you expect perfect obedience without clear training?

YOUR DOG DOES NOT NEED MORE PRESSURE. HE NEEDS CLARITY.

He does not need you to yell.
He does not need chaos.
He does not need constant punishment.

He needs you to be clear.

Consistent.
Calm.
Precise.

One rule.
Always the same.
No exceptions.

THE TRUTH MOST PEOPLE DON’T WANT TO HEAR

The problem is not your dog.

The problem is the messages he receives.

And those messages… come from you.

Every time you give in – you confuse him.
Every time you react too late – you confuse him.
Every time you change the rules – you confuse him.

And then you say:

“He is stubborn.”

No.

He is trying to figure out what you want.

WHAT NOW?

Start with yourself.

Not with your dog.

Set clear rules.
Stick to them.
Do not give in “just this once.”

Because that one time…
becomes a habit.

And a habit… becomes a problem.

Remember this:

Your dog is not trying to annoy you.
He is trying to understand how this world works.

The only question is…

👉 Are you teaching him clearly – or confusing him every single day?
